Elvira van Vredenburgh was born and raised in London. Having always had a passion for anything printed Elvira studied at The Royal College of Art leaving with an MA in printed textile design. Straight afterwards setting up a print studio selling silk screen and then digitally printed fabric designs worldwide to Designer names such a Marc Jacobs to High Street stores such as The Gap and Victoria Secret. After having a child Elvira worked freelance for a textile agent for several years.
In January 2016 it was time for a change in direction and so Elvira.v.v.designs was born. Instead of selling designs to other designers Elvira wanted to produce her own products to adorn her prints. Starting with the 'Bird' collection of greetings cards which quickly turn into gift wrap, prints and a scarf collection.
Elvira is inspired by vintage posters with big blocks of colour. Designs start as little pencil sketches but her love of colour quickly turns them int into bold, colourful designs
